LOVE-SOCIETY-DISTANCE
My project begins with my own life ( my relationship with my partner) and interviews and meeting with couples who have faced barriers to their relationship because of family, class, religion and wider social issues which have often lead to them living apart. This alongside today’s global economy means ever more people are separated and carry on relationships at a long distance. For many, this has made their commitment to each other stronger. The work looks at how love can transcend these issues and bring people together. In short, my project is all about love and relationship and its relation with society, religion, culture and distance.
I did this project as part of my research for the Masters of Photography (MA Photography) in 2010-11.
